Engraved plate taken from 'Wetterprognosen und Wetterberiche des XV und XVI Jahrhunderts' 1899, by G Hellmann. The original image was printed on a broadsheet. It shows the first recorded instance of a tornado in Germany, which occurred between midday and 1 pm on 2nd July 1587 at Augsburg in Bavaria.
